The good life.

Not your average place.

In the middle of Aventura’s Dumfoundling Bay, a twin-tower high-end residence sits in the shimmer of the blue bay waters. The Privé at Island Estates is a distinctive specimen of ultraluxurious living, with its own postal code, among the abundance of ocean, palms, and luxury condos of South Florida.

All-around comfort and style.

Privé Overview

Built on a small yacht-laden strip of coastline between Miami and Fort Lauderdale, the Privé was originally conceived by developmental firm BH3. The property consists of two, low-density towers that rise above the water 16 stories and contain 80 condos, the largest of which measures 9,500 square feet (2,900 square meters). Each residence offers a 360-degree view of the surrounding bay and ocean beyond. The stunning views, paired with the relaxed coastal environment, temperate weather, luxury-housing boom, strong commerce, and cultural diversity of the surrounding areas attract residents and real estate investors from around the world.

To live up to its appeal in the global market, Sieger Suarez Architects designed the property to have all of the features and amenities one could need–a private marina, 20,000 square-foot gym/spa space, dog-walking service, and fully integrated home-automation systems in every condo are a few of the features residence can enjoy. The biggest challenge with the property, says Michael Neumann, head of realty for BH3, was creating a living experience that was unlike anything the area had seen before. In a market where real estate ranks among the most desirable in America, comfort and exclusivity put Privé in a class all its own. Everything about the property—its location, design, and amenities—is about having it all and having it all to yourself.

Sophisticated Spaces

Comfort + Technology

With prices starting at $2.2 million, residences at Privé are spacious and modern with technology integrated throughout. Every aspect of daily life is made easier thanks to a home automation system that can dim the lights, adjust the climate, and even launch a playlist in the bathroom—all with the swipe of a finger.

Julia Chi, senior designer with Interiors by Steven G., designed the interiors of Privé and ensured that every bathroom in each condo is outfitted with a KOHLER® Numi® intelligent toilet. As Kohler’s most advanced intelligent toilet, Numi allows users to personalize their bathroom experience. Not only does Numi™ offer a sleek and modern design, but it also boasts an array of features, which include:

  • Hands-free motion-activated heated seat
  • Foot warmer
  • Colored ambient lighting
  • App-controlled speakers with wireless streaming

Automatic flush Numi is more than just a toilet and offers exceptional water efficiency and cleansing functionality using a self-cleansing wand, precision air dryer, and a deodorizing filter.

Luxurious Details

Though each residential unit is unique, Chi designed each kitchen and bathroom to be uniform. Both spaces boast clean lines, high-end Carrara stone, and ultraclear, low-iron glass finishes. It is in these spaces that Chi specified high-quality plumbing fixtures to help bring the story of luxury to life. “Our hands touch them every day, so I always make sure they’re implemented in a way that suggests luxury,” she says. “The knobs, the pressure of the spray, how things turn, the weight—they need to feel like pieces of jewelry.”

Specifying KOHLER Numi

“We love Numi because it’s a showpiece,” she says. “It’s architecturally designed, it has a wow factor, and it’s well-integrated [into] the living spaces at Privé.”

During the specification process, the design team offered three toilet options and the developers reviewed the specs, designs, and costs. In the end, they wanted a piece that spoke to the exclusivity of Prive as a whole and decided that the quality of KOHLER and the features of Numi were a perfect fit.

Chi remarked that clients looking for exclusivity “always want something that’s atypical and unique, something that nobody else has. That marks the level of this toilet."

BH3’s Michael Neumann mirrored Chi’s remarks. “When our sales team takes people through the condos, the Numi toilet becomes part of the sales presentation,” says Neumann. “When they see an item like Numi, it adds credibility to everything else we’re telling them about the project. They start to realize that if we pay attention to that kind of detail in one piece of equipment in the bathroom, we pay attention to all details.”

For the residents who are investing millions of dollars into their condo, luxury should be seen in every detail—right down to the bathroom. It’s this belief in design that sets Privé apart and why no detail was overlooked or compromised.
